Security: This can be defined as the state of being free from danger or injury.

OR

This can be defined as measures taken as a precaution against theft, espionage or sabotage etc.

Cyber Security: This can be defined as the measures taken as a precaution against theft, espionage or sabotage etc. from or on the internet, ensuring that you are free from danger and injuries, from the internet.

Over the years, CyberSecurity has evolved in so many ways and so many areas. Although, currently people still do take it as a joke, not knowing every day they are always in danger of being a victim of Cybercrimes or Cyber Criminals.

Cybercrime: This is a crime committed through the use of a computer and the internet to steal personal data or sell contraband or stalk victims or disrupt operations with malevolent programs, putting the victim at risk or loss.

Cyber Criminal: This is someone who is involved in cybercrime.

As time passes by, major steps have been put in place to ensure the risk of people being a victim of cybercrime is reduced.

Many times, we’ve heard the word “hackers”. Who are they, what do they really mean, what do they do, what do they want, and how are they related to CyberSecurity?
